5 canciones en manos y cabeza de uno de los productores más reflexivos de la escena electrónica local. Hoy desplaza la densidad de las resoluciones personales a ritos colectivos inspirados por el bass y el tribal bajo el alero de Discos Pegaos.
Viajes reflexivos, pistas que se transforman en trincheras de lucha y producciones que registran lo que somos. MAGA continúa engrosando su carrera en solitario: luego de editar un corto homónimo en vinilo con Infinito Audio y una segunda entrega titulada “Altar” bajo Salviatek, el músico despliega este tercer EP titulado “Trama”, bajo Discos Pegaos.
Ya conocimos el track y video encargados de darle nombre al cortaduración, hoy es momento de indagar en las otras cuatro canciones que conforman un recorrido menos introspectivo que en sus pasados trabajos. Con sintetizadores más ácidos, menos armonía, la identidad sudamericana y su propio recorrido personal, “Trama” es un exquisito testimonio de experiencias colectivas.
«En estos años me he dedicado a aprender ejecución de instrumentos para dejar de programar y comenzar a tocar/grabar lo que suena. De alguna manera, es para involucrarme más en el proceso y divertirme», cuenta la mitad de Escorpio sobre los trayectos que ha recorrido entre su último EP y el estreno de hoy. Con inspiraciones como Radeco Domar, El Irreal Veintiuno y Amazondotcom, sumado al estudio e intereses de MAGA, nos encontramos con una obra que se acopla al cotidiano y sus diversas emociones de manera mucho más holgada.
«Me gustaría que sintieran un subidón de energía y ánimo. Hay momentos en donde proyecto otras emociones, como en el primer track, «Sin Afán», o el último, «Siempre Él». En esos casos me gustaría que la gente recuerde a «Altar», ya que lo que reflejé en ese trabajo sigue existiendo en mi forma de crear”, comenta y es inevitable que así sea: si en «Acierto» nos encontramos una autopista musical álgida, «Trama» da pistas de las influencias tribales y «Primer Baile» nos lleva directamente a eso con inteligentes capas sonoras.
Son la bienvenida y la despedida los espacios donde las reflexiones personales que logramos compartir toman sentido ritual, donde las sensaciones pueden ser similares pero las historias que nos llevaron a ellas son parte de cada universo interior, nuestra propia “Trama”.

Jesús es mitad del duo Escorpio, parte del Colectivo Martirio y productor bajo el alias de Maga, con tracks editados en plataformas como Salviatek, Onwax y Panal, entre otras. Su identidad no binaria se refleja directamente en su música, llevándole a experimentar con sonidos clásicos del IDM, melodías con reflexiones llenas de pesar, y una estricta identidad sudamericana, logrando una veta característica que se balancea entre la pista y la introspección. Su nuevo EP será editado durante este año a través de Discos Pegaos.

MAGA continues to expand his solo career: after editing a homonymous short on vinyl with Infinito Audio and a second entitled «Altar» under Salviatek, the musician unfolds this third EP entitled «Trama» under Discos Pegaos.
We already knew the track and video in charge of giving the EP its name, today it is time to investigate the other four songs that make up a less introspective journey than in his past works. With more acid synthesizers, less harmony, the South American identity and his own personal journey, “Trama” is an exquisite testimony of collective experiences.
«In these years I have dedicated myself to learning how to play instruments to stop programming and start playing/recording what sounds like. In a way, it’s to get more involved in the process and have fun», tells half of Escorpio duo about the journeys he has traveled between his latest EP and today’s premiere. With inspirations such as Radeco Domar, El Irreal Veintiuno and Amazondotcom, added to the study and interests of MAGA, we find a work that fits into everyday life and its various emotions in a much more comfortable way.
«I would like them to feel a rush of energy and spirit. There are moments when I project other emotions, like on the first track, «Sin Afán», or the last one, «Siempre Él». In these cases, I would like people to remember «Altar», since what I reflected in that work continues to exist in my way of creating”, he comments, and it is inevitable that this is the case: if in «Acierto» we find ourselves on a critical musical highway , «Trama» hints at tribal influences and «Primer Baile» takes us right into that with clever sonic layering.
The spaces where the personal reflections that we manage to share, take on ritual meaning are the welcome and the farewell, where the sensations may be similar but the stories that led us to them are part of each interior universe, our own “Plot” (english for «Trama»)

Jesús is half of the Escorpio duo, part of the Martirio Collective and producer under the alias of Maga, with tracks released on platforms such as Salviatek, Onwax and Panal, among others. His non-binary identity is directly reflected in his music, leading him to experiment with classic IDM sounds, melodies with regretful reflections, and a strict South American identity, achieving a characteristic streak that balances between the club and introspection. His new EP will be released this year through Discos Pegaos label.
