Dirigido por Rosario Gonzalez, el videoclip de «Profiterol» nos muestra la versatilidad y prolijo trabajo de edición de una realizadora en cuyo currículum ya brillan destacados actos de la música nacional, como Fakuta y Dënver; siendo además Rosario, la persona detrás del video de «20012011» de Dementira, uno de los tantos hitos que marcaron el 2014 para Discos Pegaos.
Basado en material de archivo, el clip recorta y reorganiza; y cual sample de hip hop, resignifica, utilizando elementos de nuestro imaginario local (televisivo) reciente, para acompañar al misterioso track que da título al último ep de Motivado, el cual se adentra en terrenos algo más oscuros, pero sin nunca perder de vista las bondades del ritmo. Justamente es esta dualidad la que González explora en su video, dualidad que se materializa ofreciendo múltiples interpretaciones y lecturas para el espectador.
Junto a este video, en Discos Pegaos hemos preparado «Profiterol Remixes», ep de remezclas por grandes figuras de la electrónica latina.

Directed by Rosario Gonzalez, the video for «Profiterol» shows the versatility and the painstaking editing techniques of a filmmaker whose name stands in the credits of some brilliant chilean works, like Fakuta’s «Despacio» and Dënver’s «Estilo de Vida». Rosario being also the person behind the video for «20012011» of Dementira, one of many milestones that marked the 2014 for Discos Pegaos label.
Based on an intense use of footage, cuts and reorganization of images; like the greatest sampling jobs, the magic of «Profiterol» video is in the resignification, that emerges by the compiling of some very bizarre and vintage elements of chilean tv. The result provides a disturbing background for the mysterious title track of Motivado‘s last EP, a track that delves into some darker terrain, but without ever losing sight the benefits of rhythm. It is precisely this track’s duality, that Gonzalez decides to explore in her video, by offering multiple interpretations and readings for the viewer.
Besides this video, Discos Pegaos are launching «Profiterol Remixes», an ep with reworks of the tracks of «Profiterol», made by some of the great names of the latinamerican electronic scene.
